Good (awesome) news: Glacier National Park’s Going-to-the-Sun Road is going to be open in its entirety through Sunday, October 4, 2015 (two weeks longer than originally planned).

A Steller Meet in Glacier National Park

Earlier this winter, I came across Steller, an app that lets its users tell stories through a combination of imagery and short copy. And as someone who loves stories (reading them, hearing them and telling them), I fell in love with it.

Reynolds Creek Fire Update: Montana’s Glacier National Park

As you’ve likely heard by now, there is a fire in Glacier National Park in Montana. In an effort to keep all of you—visitors, residents, Glacier Park lovers and concerned citizens—up-to-date with the latest information on the fire, I’ll be updating this post with facts on the fire, areas affected by the fire, current conditions, open areas and other places to explore in Western Montana’s Glacier Country.

Exploring the Spaces Between the Places: West Glacier to East Glacier Park, Montana

There are certain travel corridors in Montana that I’m obsessed with: Highway 200,  the Seeley-Swan Valley and Highway 2  near Glacier National Park. A Perfect Winter Stay at Montana’s Izaak Walton Inn

In my travels around Montana, there are some places that I end up falling madly in love with. One such place: the Izaak Walton Inn. Named for English writer and fly-fisherman Izaak Walton and located just off Highway 2 between East Glacier Park and West Glacier, the inn is located in Essex—one of Montana’s tiniest towns.

A Winter Weekend in Montana’s Glacier National Park

There are a few things that I know—without a shadow of a doubt—to be true. One such truth is that Glacier National Park is magic. While most visitors to the park come during the summer season, Glacier National Park is open year-round and winter provides a completely different (and serenely peaceful) experience in the Crown of the Continent. This past weekend, I was able to sneak in a getaway to one of the most beautiful places in the world and it did not disappoint.

The Top 3 Fall Drives in Western Montana

This year, fall in Montana has been absolutely lovely. The colors are stunning, the temperatures are comfortable and — get this — there is literally hardly anyone here. During this season, I’ve been able to do a bit of road tripping around Western Montana’s Glacier Country and my recent travels have secured fall as one of my favorite times of year.

Exploring Glacier National Park in Autumn

So remember how last week I told you about some of my perfect fall moments in Western Montana? Well, believe it or not, this week fall in Glacier Country got even better.
