Winter in Montana
It’s official. Winter has fully arrived. And I must say, it has done so with a bang….of snow. During the early season, snow fell in our upper elevations and laid down a strong base (like the strongest in years!) for the winter recreation season. Well played, Old Man Winter.
Montana: Here’s Looking at You
This summer, Montana has been showing off in a big way. With her big blue sky and wide-open spaces, it’s no wonder. Let’s face it—she’s kind of the perfect package. She’s gorgeous, cool and unpretentious, with an enthralling history that leaves you intrigued and wanting to learn more. And if you find yourself falling in […]
I’m in Love with a Montana State Park
Listen you guys, I have to come clean with you. I’m in love…with a Montana State Park. While I know it may be silly to love something like a state park, I literally cannot help myself. You see, in honor of the Fourth of July, we decided it was imperative to get out of town […]
Montana: This is Winter Country

And while it has flown by incredibly fast, I’ve been able to see some of the most absolutely beautiful and breathtaking sites in Western Montana. It was a good week. TT
Dear Montana…
Last week you were good to me. Oh so good. If I didn’t know better, I’d say you were trying to woo me. I spent a solid amount of the week exploring and experiencing some of what you offer during winter. I’ve heard rumors of your winters scaring people, but not me. I know you’re […]
Paddling the Clearwater Canoe Trail
One of my favorite things to do in the Seeley-Swan Valley is to rent a canoe and paddle the Clearwater Canoe Trail. This quiet stretch of river is closed to motorized boats, making it a great place to get away and enjoy a quiet slice of Western Montana. The paddle takes about two hours, depending […]
