In an effort to spread the holiday spirit, I’ve written you a poem. It goes like this…
Christmas is coming,
The goose is getting fat.
It’s time to do your shopping,
So you’re not thrown out like a mat.
While I realize that it may not be the most well-written poem of all time, the fact of the matter is that I really don’t want to see your cute face thrown outside like a doormat for buying someone a lousy present.
To help keep you warm and cozy this year (and because shopping is one of my favorite pastimes), I’ve taken the liberty of rounding up some of the best gifts in Western Montana for everyone on your Christmas list.
HAND-PAINTED MUGS, WINE GLASSES and more can be found at Elk Camps Arts Gallery in Eureka, Montana. This locally owned shop also has hand-painted paddles, jewelry, wine racks, lamps and tables made from western juniper trees. Plus, they are having a 20 percent off sale on all their Mother Earth Wonder’s jewelry.
SHARE YOUR LOVE FOR MONTANA by gifting a T-shirt, hat, fleece or sweatshirt from Montana Gifts and Hats. They have a complete selection for all the little (kids) and big (adults) loves in your life. You can check out merchandise on their website or by stopping into their store in Hamilton.
HUCKLEBERRY DELIGHTS, MONTANA MADE JAMS and YUMMY CANDY can be found at The Huckleberry Patch in Hungry Horse, Eva Gates Homemade Preserves in Bigfork and The Sweet Palace in Philipsburg. PS: My personal favorite from The Huckleberry Patch is the huckleberry licorice. Trust me, you won’t regret it!
GIVE A GETAWAY TO A LOCAL HOT SPRINGS RESORT and help your loved ones relax with a soak in one of Western Montana’s natural hot springs. Try the pools at Quinn’s Hot Springs Resort, The Lodge at Lolo Hot Springs, Lolo Hot Springs or Symes Hot Springs Motel & Mineral Bath.
YOUR SISTER AND MAMA CAN WEAR MONTANA on their arms with one of these Montana-lovin’ bracelets in silver or gold from Cloth & Crown in downtown Missoula. And if you need one shipped? Just call the shop at 406.542.2626.
GLACIER COUNTY HONEY produces locally made honey (it’s made by the nicest bees in all of Montana in the shadow of Glacier National Park), as well as beeswax, candles and Christmas ornaments. Glacier County Honey also has cute bee-themed accessories and clothing for sale.
SHARE THE GLACIER COUNTRY LOVE by checking out some of the merchandise we offer, including hats, mugs, stickers and phone covers.
WEAR MONTANA ALL YEAR LONG with shirts from Montana Shirt Company. This company is located in the gorgeous Flathead Valley and has equally adorable shirts, hoodies and hats for the big and little loves in your life.
Happy, happy (Christmas) shopping.
