I am writing from the Pikuni Gift Shop located inside the Museum of the Plains Indian in Browning, MT. We are a non-profit organization run by the Blackfeet Community College which serves as a learning center for business students as well as a training facility for Opportunities Inc. students. At our store we sell only authentic Native American Made crafts and art.
Right now we are proud to have three demonstrating artists at the museum. Our first artist is Leonda Fast Buffalo Horse, a Blackfeet native born in Browning, Montana and raised in Seattle, Washington. Her art consists of Stained Glass & Porcupine Quill. She uses both contemporary & traditional Native American designs in her art work.
Our second artist is Ernest Marceau another Blackfeet Native Artist. His artwork consists of abstract line style. “My art is a modern look at native visions as I preserve them to be in the past,” he said.
Last but not least is our third artist, Ray Bird, who also happens to be a Blackfeet native whose artwork brings to life the Blackfeet Culture.
All three artists will be at the museum the remainder of July.
